Tools for writing : a / an / the / —
When we start a piece of writing we begin with indefinite articles: a or an.
a is usually found before words starting with vowels, and an is put before words starting with consonants. When the words is repeated twice or more we use the indefinite article, “the” is also used with definite words like “blackboard” in the classroom or “desk”.

EXAMPLE:
A dog was barking behind our house. The dog saw children playing and jogging. The children were disturbing the dog. An old woman saw them, she shouted at them, but the children didn’t care. The dog becomes furious and nervous. Therefore the children made the woman angry.
As we see the use of a, an, the , and —- are used according to rules. These tools are of crucial importance for students in their writing.
