The African Union (AU) satisfied on Monday the Moroccan bid for restoring its membership in the regional organization, Sputnik reported.
An overwhelming majority of the African Union member states voted in favor of Moroccan returning to the organization, Morocco’s news agency MAP reported.
In this regard, Secretary General of the Community of Sahel-Saharan States (CEN-SAD), Ibrahim Sani Abani, welcomed Morocco’s return to the African Union (AU), noting that this return represents a new beginning for a strong and united, LeMag, Moroccan News Portal, reported.
The return of Morocco to its African family « is very good news, » Abani told the press.
