It is useful to consider the form or word category of the expression, such as: past simple form, infinitive, gerund, adverbs in –ly, nouns…So, first it’s better to find expressions in the text with similar forms/categories.
يطلب من التلميذ في هذا التمرين ايجاد مرادفات أو عبارات لها نفس معنى الكلمات المطروحة في التمرين. و من بين أهم طرق الاجابة هو البحث في النص عن الكلمات التي لها نفس الصياغة، ففي أغلب الاحيان إن كانت الكلمة في صيغة فعل مصرف في الماضي، المرادف في النص يكون بنفس الصيغة، وإن كان أيضا بصيغة حال Adverb ، المرادف يجب أن يكون بنفس الصيغة، أي يوجد في اخر الكلمة الحرفين « ly »

Let’s do this task (from 2017 exam ) as an example:
Notice that the word 1 “helping” is in a form a gerund (Verb + ing), and the answer has the same form in the text. Here is a part of the paragraph1 :
لاحظ الكلمة الاولى مكتوبة بصيغة Verb+ing ، و مرادفها ما هو بنفس الصيغة كما نرى في الفقرة أعلاه
“Supporting” is the word which means “helping”. It’s also in a gerund form as well. So, considering forms of the words are usually helpful.
Concerning the word 2 “Influence”, it is a form of a noun. Its correct meaning should be a noun as well. So, consider only the noun forms in the paragraph, and pick up the correct answer which is “impact”
أما بخصوص الكلمة الثانية Influence مكتوبة بصيغة الإسم و تعني التأثير، إذن مرادفها لا يجب أن يكون بصيغة فعل أو صفة بل بنفس الصيغة كما تبين الفقرة أسفله
However, considering forms of the given words is not always the case as you may see in the examples below.
رغم ذلك، لا يمكن اعتماد تقنية صيغة الكلمة في بعض الحالات، كما سنرى في أحدى الأمثلة التالية
