On the occasion of Almawlid Annabawi ( The birth of the prophet Muhammad PBUH celebration) which took place in December this year, BOUARFA MATE ACCESS CENTER organised a Study Day under : Birth of Prophet Muhammad celebration in Morocco, and Christmas in the USA, Any Common Features? The event was held in the Technical High school Mohamed Abed Al Jabri, Bouarfa, on the 18th of December, 2016. The Access students were given the opportunity to get insight into the Christmas tradition in the USA and to compare it to Almawlid Annabawi celebration in Morocco, so as to find common features.
The study day program was rich enough with a variety of activities. Interesting presentations related to the theme were performed by students . Mr Labiod Mohamed, a teacher of Islamic Education and a member of Almajlis Al ilmi,Bouarfa was hosted by the Bouarfa center to give a lecture on the prophet Muhammad as an educator. In this regard, he highlighted some great manners of the prophet. He also stressed the importance of learning English language to better understand global cultures. After that, the Access students presented a video activity about Christmas traditions in the USA, before they started a fruitful discussion addressing the common features of the two celebrations, and the value of learning and understanding other cultures.
The event was concluded with an exciting quiz show between the two groups in the center. The contest content was about the two celebrations.
