Abdo and his friends feel tired and sleepy. Before joining their place to sleep, they set out a project what to do tomorrow.
-“Will you study tomorrow?” Abdo addressed his speech to Jamal.
-“Yes, we have four hours; two hours of TP, they will be the hardest hours we have ever seen. We sometimes join a long hall where the cadavers are clustered. There is a special man with electric axes whose task is to cut the cadavers into different parts and organs. Whenever we study about an organ, one of the students will be sent to bring the target organ.” Mohammed explained. –“It’s a shocking experiment for me.” He added.
-“Don’t you see this in your dreams?!” El younsi requested.
-“I don’t dream at all when I fall asleep.” Mohammed said
-“ How do you go to university?” El younsi asked.
-“We walk, we rarely take a bus. Buses are usually crowded. It takes a long time to wait for a bus.” Jamal commented. “ And although it’s a bit hard, walking in a group shortens distances. While walking, we talk, we discuss, and we gossip” Mohammed added.
-“Well, I think walking is good enough for you Mohammed, you are getting fatter and fatter” El younsi commented.
-“Good night” Mohammed went shuffling to his room. El younsi went on behind him embarrassingly. He stood for a moment to check Mohammed’s room with his eyes then he returned to his chair. – “Where can I sleep, please?” I think we talked too much” El younsi remarked.
-“ Come on with us in my room” Abdo said. Each one took his place. The light is switched off. The darkness falling down behooved the guys to sleep comfortably. However, into obscurity El younsi was extending on his back, his head was buried into his woven fingers. All his senses are functioning and contributing to confirm what his psyche designed. One of these senses blamed him for his deeds; however, he couldn’t overcome it. The decision is taken, his mind submissively accepted the plan. This, in fact would cause a shame and embarrassment for Abdo.
The night has barely gone despite its length. As all other nights of February, It was such a chilly night that nobody could leave the warmth of blankets and sheets. The clock has just rung to awake Jamal and Mohammed who have intended to join their work. Everybody got up except Chakibi, El younsi himself woke up, he looked as though he spent sleepless night. Nevertheless, he was just tracing the others moving from room to room.
-“Where are you going at this moment, It’s too early” El younsi addressed his speech to Abdo and his companion.
-“We are going to attend a tennis tournament in a club we will soon be back, go on sleeping” Abdo remarked.
-“Am I going to stay alone here?!” El younsi requested.
-“Don’t worry, Chakibi is here with you.” Abdo’s companion said. El younsi jeered at Abdo’s companion, and looked away.
As soon as they left the house, El younsi stood up, walked with bare feet, tiptoed towards the door where Chakibi was snorting. Then he pushed the door with his fingers to enter In Mohammed’s room. A black suitcase caught his sight, without paying attention to anything else, he opened it. He returned to have a look at Chakibi, then with his fingers he stirred the belonging upside down. He selected some clothes, new jackets and jeans, he put them in a black bag that he pulled out under a table In Abdo’s room. The bag, containing some books, papers and a toothbrush, belong to Abdo’s companion. From Abdo’s room he kept everything as it is. He let the bag open, the he started the second operation with Chakibi’s room. It was a difficult one, first he pushed the door. The door squeaked as it swung back because of its rusty hinges. This annoyed him a little. However, he stood patiently because the squeak of the door made Chakibi to turn on the other side, but he went on sleeping. El Younsi tiptoed into the room, seized a suitcase without touching the door. In a hurry, he checked the suitcase; he selected some belongings in the suitcase. He got the suitcase back. He left the house and closed the gate behind him.
