High school teachers of English had an opportunity to take part in another important study day under the theme: ” What makes writing a difficult skill to teach”, at Kadi Ayad high school, in Bouarfa. The event was run by the teachers M. ELKADAOUI & and M. ABED, under the supervision of the inspector Mr Mohamed Oubedda.
The workshop was another new opportunity for the English teachers practising in both high schools (Al kadi Ayad and Abed El jabri Technical school) to reflect on this troublesome skill. The first part was devoted to individual attitudes towards the teaching of writing. Then, the participants had a fruitful discussion addressing various key practical issues of teaching writing. One of the main topics was the importance and possibilities of integrating writing in the lessons on daily basis. The teachers as well highlighted ‘‘product’’ and ”process ” writing and their impact on learning and effective writing.
The event was concluded with practical tips shared by the presenters, so as to redress the challenge of teaching writing nowadays.
