On Tuesday, the 25th of February 2014, the Tunisian capital hosted the proceedings of the first Arab Forum on « Education for Multi-Cultural citizenship », organized by the Anna Lindh Foundation & UNESCO ALESCSO Bardo Club. The objective of which is to enhance the concept of citizenship and human rights in relation to Cultural diversity.
The Tunisian President Marzouki,who chaired the forum, stressed the key role played by educational institutions in disseminating the concept of citizenship in the Arab world and respecting the principles of democracy.
The forum coordinator Miss Fadya ALKASSEMI stated in a press conference that the forum in question is the first of its kind in Arab world which is concerned to the matter of education for multi-cultural citizenship.
The forum, which will run until March 2, is attended by more than 60 participants from 10 Arab countries.
