Mohamed V high school in Taroudant hosted the spelling bee District championship on Sunday 9th of March from 9:00 to 12:00 . 7 schools have participated in the contest, 2 of them were middle schools.
The competition started with reading some verses of Quran then the National Anthem of Morocco is sung.The first phase of the competition was with the Novice team bee which was a competition between Imam Muslim and Hassan I middle schools and it ended with Hassan I as a winner.
The second phase was Team Bee which witnessed a competition of High schools Mohamed V, Ibn Souliman Roudani, Ait Iazza HS , Hwara Dar Chabab and Iqrae private school. The winner was Ibn Souliman for the first place and Mohamed V as the second one. Then the participants had some time for break with cakes and tea.
The last phase was solo bee contest. 19 students were competing for the six places that lead to the regionals. The student Saadallah Salahddine from Dar Chabab Hwara was the first place winner.
After taking pictures, it was time for the coordinator Mr Brahim Ait Hsain to thank the students, the coaches and the volunteers as well as the administration of the hosting school for their assistance to make this event a successful one.
