Rabat International University (L'université internationale de Rabat UIR) revealed on the 27th, February 2014, from the capital that there will be soon an establishment of a Digital University funded by the African Development Bank Group, with ten millions.
According to UIR announcement, the Digital University is considered as one of the global mechanisms that will contribute in the achievement of spreading and forwarding science and knowledge, for ICT has become one of the inviting priorities of Rabat International University.
The aim behind this operation is to pave the way to” Higher Education, Sciences and Technology” strategy by the African Development Bank Group, inorder to release competencies and enhancing intellectual activity in relation to economic horizons at the level of the African continent.
It’s worth noting that The International University of Rabat (UIR) is a private multidisciplinary Moroccan university. Under contract with the Moroccan State, it was created by Moroccan academics and researchers living abroad and dedicated to Moroccan and foreign students.
On 14 September 2010, King Mohammed VI laid the first stone for the construction of university campus in Technopolis.
