Morocco is getting prepared to launch Link Project with the African rail transport network.The project will be run starting from Mauritania towards the south. According Hespress News Website, Mr Najib Boulif who’s in charge of transport stated Morocco got a set of plans to construct rail lines which will connect between Marrakech and Agadir, then Sidi Ifni, Laayoune and Dakhla straight to beyond the south borders of Mauritania.
In a statement to Hespress related to Railways conference held in Marrakech on Thursday, Boulif mentioned that the project which is currently under studies can develop the southern areas at the economic and social levels.
An official pointed out to Hespress that constructing railway between Marrakech and South is being determined.
Rabii Lakhlii the general director of the national office of railways , on occasion its 5Oth anniversary, invited the African Supervisors on the rail sector to enhance the efforts being made to improve the rail transport infrastructure in the area.
