morocco hub

Morocco is one of the fast growing economies in Africa with a GDP of US$ 100.354 billion and international reserves of US$ 20.611 billion (Source: IMF, 2012). The Government of Morocco encourages free trade agreements and investment from the USA, the EU and the Middle East. As a result, a large number of foreign companies are operating in Morocco. Considering the current economic climate, Morocco saw foreign investments worth US$2.8 billion in 2012 (Source: United Nations’ Conference on Trade and Development), ranking number one in North Africa in terms of foreign investment.

Morocco has entered into Free Trade Agreements with the USA and the EU. This has resulted in reduction in tariffs on imports from the US and EU. Alongside, Morocco has also signed a quadrilateral FTA with Egypt, Jordon and Tunisia and a bilateral FTA with Turkey.
