RABAT – Morocco and the European Union have started talks to conclude a free-trade agreement, as EU Commission head Jose Manuel Barroso visited the country.
This agreement “will give each country a better access to the other’s markets and improve the business climate in a way that will make it more predictable and stable”, Barroso told the press following his meeting with Morocco’s Government Chief Abdelilah Benkirane.
“Today, we begin negotiations on a deal to ease the procedures for obtaining visas for some categories of people, particularly students, researchers, businessmen and women,” he said.
