Maghreb Arab Press, The Hill, The Hill (Washington, DC, March 13, 2014) — The US Senate on Thursday confirmed the nomination of Dwight L. Bush Sr. as the new US Ambassador to the Kingdom of Morocco. Bush’s nomination was confirmed by the Senate on a voice vote, The Hill newspaper reported.
Bush Sr was nominated to this position last August by President Barack Obama.
During his confirmation last September before the foreign affairs committee at the US Senate, Bush Sr had underlined the importance of the political, economic and social reforms undertaken by HM King Mohammed VI for Morocco’s development and stability.
Bush was the president of D. L. Bush & Associates, a Washington, DC-based financial advisory and business consulting firm. He also has worked as vice chairman of EntreMed, Inc. since 2010 and as a director since 2004.
Bush was president and CEO of Urban Trust Bank, Urban Trust Holdings and president of UTB Education Finance, LLC from 2006 through 2008.
