Preparing students to present

The event in our English club Al faid .E.C this week was a workshop entitled: Presentation and Public speaking. It was animated by teacher Mr. H.Fellah with the collaboration of teacher Mr. M. Asskali.
The workshop was an occasion to expose beneficiaries as prospective presenters and public speakers to presentation skills they need in both academic and professional life.
The workshop included three events: the first was a presentation given by teacher Mr. Fellah in which he highlighted features of a good presentation starting from planning and practicing to performing.
The second event was a discussion of handouts submitted by the teacher about presentation-related vocabulary and phrases as well as an observer chart embedding features to be observed in a presentation: voice- body language –content and visual aids.
The last event was students practicing. The students divided into groups of four; coached and mentored by their teachers they prepared and delivered 3 / 4 minutes presentations in front of their mates about easy topics of common interest to them.
The students were very enthusiastic and showcased engagement throughout the workshop and great presenting skills as presenters.
