Earlier this Thursday, ex-England football star, David Beckam, has signed officially for Paris St Germain till the end of the season.
Warmly welcomed by the Parisian fans. So did the president of the club, the Qatarian, Naser Al-Khalifi on the left of the picture, and director Leonardo, the former Brazilian star, on the right .
Al-Kahalifi has declared: “I’m very happy to welcome David Beckam in our team, and we hope that will be an added value to our club till the end of the season”.
Beckham he himself said that he is still feeling fit and and that he is still with great physical conditions as if he were in his 21ST’s. He added that this doesn’t mean he affirms to be official in the team squad.
The following are some comments of famous French footballers about the coming of Beck’s.
Joey Barton, currently on loan at Ligue 1 side Marseille, believes Beckham will be a big hit in France.
Barton tweeted: "He'll be great for French football.
"But he'll remain the second best/best looking Englishman in France. That'll hurt his confidence!"
As for us, we hope that this top move will not be commercial a 100 per cent; but on the other hand, fine sports, fair play, and nice spectal should be on top priorities of the French club.
